I have two Dell laptops that I'm trying to connect thru docking stations to a single Key Board/monitor/mouse on my desk. I have purchased an IOGear GCS1802. However, after a connection is made and I switch to the other PC I loose the video to the first after a minute or so. The same thing happens with the second. The only way to bring it back is to open the laptop and use the function keys to get the video signal to the back VGA connector. IOGear tech support advises me that they don't guarantee connections thru docking stations and suggested I hook them up directly which is not a suitable alternative since they are both business laptops and get connected/disconnected often.

Are there any suggestions on how to get the video signal to stay on, or, does anyone know of other KVM models that will be compatible with docking stations?
