OK, something possessed me to stop playing Fallout 3 and tell you all about the Kensington Orbit Trackball, lol. And FYI, this is my first trackball style mouse![]()

The first thing you notice with the Orbit is that it has a very simple design; the trackball itself and left & right mouse buttons either side of it. It is perfectly symmetrical too which means both right handed and left handed users can use it with ease. The major downside (and I mean major) is the fact that it has no customizable hotkeys, a scrollwheel or a middle click button.

But the Orbit makes up for it because of how easy it is to move the cursor around the screen in comparison to a standard mouse which is the major upside. The buttons themselves are very "enjoyable" to click (not to say I would just click it for fun), they are on the large size too so it's easy to click no matter what, they also require very little pressure to click.

The packaging was very minimalist, inside the box there was; the Orbit, USB to PS/2 adapter and the manual. There was no software to install seeing as it has no hotkeys. The Orbit should be compatible with nearly every computer seeing as it works like a standard mouse.
Pros
-Both right & left hander friendly
-One of the cheaper trackballs around
-Solid design & looks good
Cons
-Lack of hotkeys & scrollwheel
