I use a Deck keyboard. I have one of the original ones; it does not have a number pad, and it uses a laptop style layout. You can get these keyboards in different colors. I own a green one.

I have been very happy with the keyboard. It is quite comfortable to type on, and it is VERY responsive. It uses high quality gold switches, and it is a very nice keyboard even without any lights. But the lighting is also excellent. You can control the brightness using a laptop style function(FN) key. Each key has its own LED, and the LED's are supposed to last 200,000 hours at full brightness, or something to that extent. The switches are also rated for something like 100 million contacts, as opposed to your standard keyboard rated for 1 million contacts per key.

The only downside is the price. I paid $120 for mine.

One of the things that I really like about this keyboard is the layout. The actual footprint is very small, but the keys are not cramped at all. The windows key has been moved to the top right(so you can't bumpt it while gaming). It's also great for transitioning between a laptop and a desktop. Don't get me wrong; you cannnot compare this to a laptop keyboard. I would take this keyboard over any other I have used, just because it is an excellent keyboard.

You should note that the right shift key is shortened, as well as the tab and caps lock. I do not mind this at all; I have had no trouble using this keyboard.

However, their full size keyboard looks to be an excellent option, especially if you are worried about the key layout. Personally, I like the layout, but I know that most people prefer a standard layout.

Finally, the MANUFACTURER WARRANTY ACTUALLY IS MODDING FRIENDLY. The manufacturer encourages modding, and will not void your warranty for doing so, unless damage was caused as a result of modding.
