Kingston Issues Recall For Certain Thumb Drives
If you own a Kingston DataTraveler BlackBox, DataTraveler Secure or DataTraveler Elite drives, you might want to pay attention to this. Kingston has posted a security alert on its website, stating that a skilled person with the proper tools and physical access to the drives may actually be able to get unauthorized access to data stored on said drives. Fortunately for users, it seem s that Kingston is willing to resolve this issue, and is urging customers with affected drives to contact tech support to arrange for a factory update of your device (though itÂ’d be a very good idea to make a copy of the data on the thumbdrive,) Will this affect your confidence in Kingston products in the future?
