My wife has her new laptop and knitted her own sleeve for it.

The advantage is she could choose whatever colours she wanted. She may add a strap to it later.

It seems to work given that one of our four cats is sitting on it right now and I don't worry about the cat scratching the laptop.

My pictures don't do it any justice but here are a few:

Looks nice, but are the ribbons strong enough? Good job!

Im sure it works good for some, but not very masculine.

Hmmm, don't they easily gather static?

Whats it made of though? It looks awesome! My friend had a similiar bag, she actually made her notebook bag and sleeve with linen and suede/felt. It was pretty nice looking but not waterproof :p

No, it isn't too masculine. I would probably get her to make me one out of leather instead since she also sews.

It is made from acrylic rather than wool. It isn't meant to be water proof - that's what her Targus bag is for (thankfully she got black rather than red!).

The ribbons on it are surprisingly strong and it works nicely.

I was concerned about static at first but it doesn't seem to be a problem. Don't know why and hope I don't find out that it will be a problem
