I'm thinking of buying one of the Korean 2560x1440 displays for my 2013 Macbook Air and I really don't want to shell out an extra 70-100 bucks for a dual link DVI adapter. Most of those monitors only have DVI inputs but I found some that have DisplayPort as well.

If I get a Thunderbolt do DP cable ( http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Plated-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt/dp/B004CAGDUA/ref=pd_cp_e_0) would I be able to use it with my MBA at 1440p with a monitor like this? Qnix QX2710 LED Evolution ll Dport Matte 27" 2560x1440 PLS QHD DP PC Monitor | eBay
