I know they're old and antiquated now, but I'm considering purchasing an LCD Projection Panel on eBay on which to do presentations.

(For those of you who don't know, the best way to describe it, I guess, is that it's a clear LCD that sits on top of an overhead projector--a computer monitor transparency, if you will.)

I know that projectors are preferable, but money is the main decision-maker here. On eBay, the most expensive projection panel is $200, far cheaper than a projector.

Any thoughts? Anyone with some experience with these things?

I always thought that they were in the 1000's of $.

If you are going to spend that kind of money, better off getting just a normal projector that has DVI/HDMI and of course, VGA connectivity. You get a clear image on computers, and have the ability to make it into a home theatre using it as a wall projector.

I think we're talking about two different things, gautam. I just checked eBay and the most expensive LCD Projection Panel (searching for just those words) was $200. If they were the same price, I'd get a projector no questions asked, but the panels seem to be a lot cheaper.
