Hey. I recently bought a Fujitsu S7110 with an intel GMA 950 graphics card. I'm looking to buy a 17-19" (looking more at the 19") monitor to accompany it. I noticed that the docking station has a DVI port on it as well as an analog port. The laptop will predominantly be used for internet, word, msn messenger, and some movies. Should I buy looking into a monitor with digital input capabilities or will I be well of with an analog?

Go with DVI. The difference is amazing. The text is clearer and everything is crisper.

I would second mZimm if your output has DVI.

Based on your question, it appears that you feel that DVI is better suited for high end users such as gaming. I would say it is equally, if not more, important.

Clearer text when you use the internet and word would convince yourself that DVI was a better idea.

Why don't you try it out at your shop? (Bring your computer and connect it to the DVI monitor with both analogue output and digital output. You should be able to notice the difference yourself...)

Get one with DVI, even if you don't want to use it, you should be able to use the analog too, but its always very nice to have the option to go DVI. I wish my E1505 had a DVI out on it.. :(

Are you sure that your 7800Go has DVI-D? Last I heard it was only single link.
