So I just bought one of these, "Vantech LapCool 2" and I think the box said the fans can spin from 1800rpm to 2600rpm, but when I used it on my Notebook it was pretty crappy. The temperature didn't change.

Oh I have an ASUS A8Jm. I know this doesn't heat up that bad, but I'd like to keep it as cool as possible - especially in this summer temperature.

Anyway, the fans felt pretty slow when plugged into the USB on my Notebook, after testing it on my Desktop's USB, I realized it's just the power going in that's causing it to go slow. So... I want to buy a new power adapter for it, but I need to know what's too much & too less voltage... help please ^^?

So what you're saying is that you think the power supplied from the notebook's USB port isn't enough to power the fans to maximum? Quite a peculiar problem...
Although I highly doubt it, you can try setting your notebook's power modes to something different. Since you do have an Asus, try messing around with Power4Gear or other power properties.

    Yeah... that's what I'm saying...
Alright then, guess I'll mess around with it tomorrow, thanks. But, let's say in the end I'll have to buy a new power adapter just to increase the fan speed, what's the perfect amount of voltage?
