Hey guys - I'm looking for a particular accessory - basically a platform to set my laptop on my lap while I'm sitting on the couch. laying in bed...etc. I recall seeing some that are flat on top and have cushioning underneath to make them comfortable (and more stable).

Can someone suggest some good models / technology (maybe with a flat top that is good with heat dissipation)? I have an Asus W3j coming (14" widescreen) and I want if off of my lap...etc. to help in cooling.

    Thanks!

I don't believe that a specialized 'laptop cooler' is necessary if you already have a lapdesk from college/medical school/law school/graduate school:

You can get one from Target for about $10-15.

My wife bought me the one below. It has a leather pad and hard maple top. No heat appreciated on the lap with this one for $39:

Reize - that's actually more of what I had in mind. I'm going to try and find some reviews since it's about $20 more expensive than that "laptop desk" one above that also looks decent.

Worth the extra money in my opinion if it's known to be good though. Thanks.

EDIT: A bunch of good reviews on the site. I'm diggin' it.

Targus also makes a folding table for laptops, availabe at places like Office Depot, check online or in a store, they look acceptable.
