I need a backpack for school and my W3V by September and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions from experience. The one that came with the W3V is a bit too small to fit textbooks and casebooks in... I'll probably use it for business presentation days or etc. since that whole tweed-Sherlock Holmes look Asus decided on seems somewhat fitting.

But I don't plan on spending a whole lot on the bag since I still need to upgrade my desktop (hd, dvdrw, new monitor...) so I probably won't get something like a crumpler bag Coriolis likes to suggest (though they are nice :) )

    I'll also need a lock, and I have no clue what's a good/bad lock.

I found a Targus bag, defcon lock, optical mouse combo for $99 Cdn. ( http://www.targus.com/ca/product_details.asp?sku=BA415 ) Is this bag & lock any good?

I just got a W3V too. I am just going to use a Sleeve with the laptop and put it in my normal backpack.

    BOOO!!! :D :D

Targus bags aren't bad but they just scream laptop!

As for the lock, DefCon's are pretty good, but remember - the best lock is to keep it locked to you in your possession at all times.

Coilz's way is another great way, just buy a sleeve, and put it in the sleeve and that into your regular bag. They are pretty protective, and soft, use it as a pillow!

Try Photococan on Ebay for those Crumpler bags- great savings and great customer service (and the bags are REALLY nice)

I got it from them too, fast emails back and very good customer service.

    I'd recommend them as well.
