Hi everyone, im searching for a laptop bag for my hpdv6t which has a 15.6 inch screen.
Here are the specifications 14.88" (W) x 9.71" (D) x 1.23" (min H)/1.39" (max H)
So i cant decide between a 16 inch or a 17.3 inch. I would like the 17.3 inch for more room for books. But i dont want it being so big, and out of place and weird looking to carry. Also will this harm the laptop since it will not secure the laptop fully.
What do you guys think?
The actual models are here.
17.3
16 inch
Thanks Guys

I know right now Slappa has some good deals on their Kampus and Stovepipe backpacks. They are slowly rolling out back to school deals and these are first up. Timbuk2 has some decent looking bags as well. (H.A.L, Q, Etc.) Not sure if you would be interested in any of these but just trying to throw out some ideas. HTH.
Kampus
Stovepipe
The ones you linked look pretty good too, imo. -

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but i wanted to know if 17.3 inch laptop bag is too big for a 15.6 inch laptop. I want the 17.3 inch for the more space for books and things. But i dont want it to be incredibly large, or unwieldy.

Not really, I used to have an XPS bag for the original XPS from '04, which was like 4 inches thick, 17 inch screen, and 10 pounds, and it wasn't too unwieldy. I was also able to put my 15 inch Thinkpad in the pouch without it bouncing around.
I don't think the 17 inch backpack is significantly bigger than the 15 inch one, though, in fact, it appears to have a smaller volume from the product info.
