    Hey guys,

finally bought a laptop (the Dell D820 and so far I absolutely love it!), now I'm looking for a bag.

Currently Floppy is living in a neopren sleeve, with that the dimensions are about 15" wide, 12" deep and 2" high. But that will not do for occasional travel obviously.

I'm looking for a "small" bag, since I'll just go to the coffee shop, the park or my office and typically don't carry 2 binders, 3 file folders, my pda, blueberry, 2nd cellphone... (you got it!) around. It's just me, Floppy, the charger and the wallet and keys, etc. :)

    I don't like the 'look-there's-a-laptop-in-me' bags though.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks so much!

I like Tom Bihn bags. They are not cheap, but are good-looking and solidly made (in the USA). Are you looking for a shoulder bag rather than a backpack? If so, take a look at the Tom Bihn ID.

I second tom bihn, but it is in fact quite pricy.... along the messenger bag path, there's also timbuk2, chrome, crumpler, sf waterfield, etc, etc. I also like the manhattan portage messengers, theyre just simple, plain no frills good bags. www.ebags.com is a good place to start.

    Thanks!

Love the Tom Bihn bags, although they are indeed pricey. :(

Thanks for the links, already checked out timbuk2 and crumpler (in person), might stop by Manhattan Portage this weekend (living in NYC rocks!).

And yes- I think I prefer a messenger (ideally upright) over a backpack. I'm done with school.

Just checking out www.ebags.com, looks like a great site!!
