I am interested in a laptop caddy, like a tv stand that has a swing arm to extend it over a bed or couch arm. Something like these:

    Mayline Laptop Computer Caddy
    [IMG]

Frontgate - Laptop Caddy - Mahogany

But I also came across the LapGenie (awful name)

But I have been hard pressed to find any reviews that are more than glorified sales information. Am I just not calling them by the correct names in searches?

Does anyone have any experience with any of the above items or similar?

As far as desks this would be great...

But that's hard to use in bed and blocks the view of the TV from the couch. ;)

Unless you're talking about one of the before mentioned pictures and it's called a "desk". If so, which one.

This seems a bit much for my liking, but I'm sure there are people out there that will find this extremely useful. Good post.

I have a laptop caddy and it is useful. Though it can be very unstable and will topple if you aren't careful.

"You want child for to hold your laptop? Rub the LapGenie and make wish!" :p

My 3 1/2 year old flat out refuses to stand there holding my notebook... I think he's just bitter that Daddy spent his college fund on a computer...

What do most people use when putsing around the house with their notebook?
