    Why X3/XL? Rather buy U3 ;)

I'd say either one will have similar performance. Look at the dimensions and make sure it will fit your laptop properly. The XL has a bigger fan and higher air flow, but at 5V it won't make much difference. The U3 with stock fans is not very impressive, but it is easy to mod with bigger 12v fans. Not everyone will be willing to do this though, but if you are then I say go for the U3.

I just bought CoolerMaster XL. I had a chance to see both and I chose XL because it was less noise and better air flow. For my M18x

If it provides less noise AND better airflow, then that is the one to go with.
