Hey. I've read many reviews but I really can't decide on what to get. Summer if fast approaching and my laptop will bake itself to death lol. They all seem to stem down to where the air ducts / vents are.
Thus I was wondering what other Dell 17 users are using?

If was thinking about this one?

By the way im from the UK... so if you could link me to UK websites?

I know Scan.co.uk and ebuyer / amazon etc sell a lot of these.

What do you guys think? Whats your experiance with the one you have right now?

So just to make sure.. your recommending me a ZM-NC2000? or a 1000?

The 1000 is for up to 15.4"
The 2000 is for up to 20"

This is specifically for a Dell 1735. Does it fot properly, by which I mean the vents are aligned?

    Many thanks.

The 2000, just pointing out that the store has both >_<
I'm not too familiar with the underside of the 1735, so I don't know where the vents are. But the Nc2000 has the grill in the centre part, while the fans are at the back part.

Hey. I've read that, and its a brilliant guide. But I wanted someone who has a cooler for the Dell Studio 17 to tell me which one they have so I know it definetly works/fits.

    :)

geez thats a big pix :p

what do u use the laptop for? from the looks of it, i would recommend the coolermaster infinite. the 1735's (small) vents are arranged on the outer area of the bottom.

the infinite also draws air from the back, so u could possibly use it on softer surfaces.

    Hey thanks for the reply.

I use it for gameing...and everything else. It is a desktop replacement for now till my i7 rig is with me.

It's an amazing machine, and Im glad I did not fork out on a waist of money XPS..the Studio has better specs than most of the XPS line..thats till you start spending silly money :/

So you would recommend me to purchase that cooler?

Ps. Sorry 4 the large pic. I will resize it :)

ah nice stuff. i haven't really looked into any of the i7 stuff yet, but i've heard alot of great things.

i would personally recommend the cryo LX to u. the cryo LX will cool the 1735 AND any future notebooks u buy (up to 19"). the infinite looks like it will do the job for the 1735, but will not do a great job for a beast like the d900f.

Hey thanks for the advice. Im new to the cooling market..well for laptops..so I wanted help in knowing that the cooler will fit in nicely with the 1735 vents.
So I'll take your advice and order it and see if it fits. If not I'll return it and see what else there is ^^

anytime man. good luck with the i7 system. i might be gettin a new notebook/desktop soon. i just haven't decided yet cuz my xps1530 isn't even a year old yet.

yur 1735's vents look like they line up pretty well with the infinite's coolin surface. it's capabilities will fall short when it comes to the d900f tho.

the cryo LX will cool pretty much anythin u throw at it, all the way up to 19 inches. there are alot of crappy coolers out there, so just try to do a bit of research before u waste yur money. ask if u need anythin ;)
