Scoured the web and nobody seems to know or care. From what I can tell, the typical recommendations (CM U2/U3, Zalman, Cryo LX, CM SF-19) is out of the question.

I'd rather not buy a tray AND a cooler. And I'm not interested in improvising with books or boards. I kind of just want a cooler that works in bed. I'm sure there's one out there. 6 billion people in the world, I'm sure someone has one that works.

I have a Sager NP8230 (Clevo P151SM1) that should be on the way in a few weeks.

The one I was trying to read about was the Cooler Master NotePal Infinite, which for whatever reason, has been discontinued (I understand Cooler Master does this often) and is almost nowhere to be found. Then, I was looking at the NotePal Infinite EVO, but I'm unsure about it. One cooler that hasn't been discontinued (I think?) is the NotePal LapAir, but it looks rather thing and I don't know how durable that is. I was looking at some other ones but they seemed kind of gimmicky and I don't know if that cools anything at all (NotePal U-Stand, NotePal Ergostand II).

So yeah, ideally I'd like to try out the NotePal Infinite, but nobody's selling it at a reasonable price right now. I checked eBay and it's only being sold from like Europe or something.

I read through the stickied Notebook Cooler guide, but nobody seems to even click on that thread anymore.

I know this is the internet and we all have short attention spans so the odds of anyone reading all this is slim, so to summarize:

Need a laptop cooler for bed use

    Models in consideration:
    Cooler Master NotePal Infinite
    Cooler Master NotePal Infinite EVO
    Cooler Master NotePal LapAir
    Cooler Master NotePal U Stand
    Cooler Master NotePal Ergostand II

I understand there's some decent Belkin ones but I haven't looked into it yet. So yeah, any thoughts?

If you don't have the computer yet, it's possible that you won't need a cooler, depending on the notebook's own cooling design. I'd wait to see if you need one before spending more money.

I had a NotePal ErgoStand and it was usable in bed, not very but it works.

I looked up LapAir and it seems like it's much more usable than ErgoStand.
