I apologise for the poor quality of the photos.
It is constructed from cardboard glued together and sealed with a hot glue gun.
Two 120mm fans suck air in at the back and then force it out the holes directly underneath the notebooks intake vents for graphics, cpu, etc.
This method results in a very even airflow, rather high pressure coming from the vent holes and almost 100% efficency in the use of the air as it is all forced through the computer.
On top of this, the fact that it was designed to work with my exact computer means it has a clear advantage over any commercial coolers.
It has dropped idle temps to around 35-40c for the CPU and 38-42 for GPU. (about 10c difference.)
running 3dmark06 saw the temps of both go no higher than about 60c and running a stress test on the graphics gave me a 15-20c decrease in temps (went from 90-95 to 70-75
These fans are running at approx 60-65% speed so they could be ramped up far higher if more cooling was required but I keep them low due to the noise which they produce. The noise is not unbearable but as you would expect it is higher than the stock cooling system. m,aybe comparable when stock is at 100%
Edit: Yes the blue LEDs do make it cooler. very complicated physics involved in it.

You should cover up the fans with some sort of grill or screen (safety first) and probably consider a diff. material like plexi-glass, a storage container or aluminum sheeting rather than cardboard. Cardboard will sag and warp and start to come apart in a couple of months perhaps even sooner. Not to mention there are insects that will crawl all over it and slowly eat up your cardboard.

I don't think you are giving cardboard enough creditI dont know what conditions the you think I live in but i can assure you there are no cardboard eating insects and I am pleased to report that all my cardboard boxes are in good shape! no sagging cardboard here.
