    Hi guys,

I realised that it would be benifitial in the long run to have a gaming controller for my M15x. Now I'm not looking to spend to much as I doubt I'll use it all the time.. but I would like the most bang for Buck. Price range I suppose will be under $50.

As for in-ear heaphones.. I need something portable for my Zune HD. I have a on-ear BOSE heaphones which are awesome.. but I need something for on the go as I'm always travelling via train to uni. I've heard the Klipsch Image S4 is a good pair.. but its not sold in Australia.. and ebay prices are going for $110 or so. So any recommendations? Price max in this? Doesn't matter.. just best quality for Bass and sound for my zune :)

Do you think its possible to get a wireless one for that price?
I do know there is a way to play the ps3 controller on a pc.. however its not the best controller to use on a pc.

xbox 360 controller. better than anything and fully compatable with "for windows" games.
hippo VB headphones. had some very good reviews on head-fi. should be able to find them in budget.

The problem with the 360 controllers is they need a USB dongle or cable. Every laptop has Bluetooth any more... why don't more manufacturers use that? It's gotta be licensing or something.

Got that one, too, from Worst Buy. Made Prince of Persia and Devil May Cry much easier.

The rubber by the edge of the controller is frying a bit, but nothing duct tape won't fix.

Er no thanks to the xbox lookalike controller. Its the reasons i don't have a 360.. i hate the fat controllers. So i need a ps3 look alike.

I'm getting more on controllers than in-ear headphones.. not seen one I quite like like just yet.

The main issue with Bluetooth is lag. The average BT mouse has a latency of something like 15ms, which is pretty high. "Normal" wireless mice have 8ms, which is tolerable. And gaming-grade wireless is 1 or 2ms, like the Razer Mamba or Logitech G7.

    Wiimote works with just blutooth.

But 360 is probably the best average joe controller. I also have a nifty adapter that lest me use the wii classic controllers via usb.

The wireless version is expensive around $60 but I'm glad I got it. I only wish that the wireless dongle could somehow be built into my laptop. I don't think it will disappoint, though.

Try Ultimate ears 700 in-ear headphone. It's the best pair I used so far. Not too much bass (natural level bass output rather than too much of it & trebles are really clear )

BTW you need to burn it before use.

I just use my PS3 controller with BT or wired, with Motion-in joy drivers. It works fine for, I prefer wired than BT though cause it wakes my PS3 from its nap. :p

This one is really good if you are looking for an xbox layout (i.e. offset analog sticks, triggers on bottom not buttons) and it has a nice fan built in that cools off your hands. Also, it is not as bulky as an xbox controller if that's what you are worrying about. It works really well and is not expensive. It's called the chillstream... it's only wired.

If you are looking for a playstation style layout, this one is really good. This one is available wired or wireless.

    Those are the best IMO

for headphones, the bose in-ear headphones are really nice. They are $80 or so and the sound quality is excellent

Yea my mate has the Bose in-ear ones.. and I suppose if I already have Bose I might continue the trend.. except for the fact It feels really loose on my ear.. and that annoys me (even with the different size buds)

for a really nice bang for the buck IEM (in ear modules), i recommend the hifiman RE2's. they have a great soundstage that rivals much more expensive products. they have just enough bass to appreciate them, but the mids and highs are what the RE2 is strong at. the RE2's don't focus on bass like alot of cheap earbud-style headphones. they are the best earbud-type of headphones i've owned so far, and they are very hard to beat at under $30 bucks shipped to yur door.

    Seems reasonable.
Still haven't fully decided, but I hope they're good looking to an extent as well?

I would highly recommend the logitech cordless controller too. I actually have 3 of them for various reasons. :p Not because any of them broke, mainly travelling reasons. I would recommend the cordless one over the corded ones, the wire of the corded ones does tend to fail over time (at the joint). I have been through 2 of those that way.

I really like the Xbox controller. It works well and has a good feel to it. I've tried some Logitech ones and the analogue sticks just don't feel as smooth as the Xbox one.

I have UlitmateEars SuperFi Pro 5s and like them a lot. I'd recommend UE. Honestly though, Bose is a bad idea. I did lots of research when I was looking for my UEs, and amongst anyone that knows, the BEST thing people say about Bose is that they are just overpriced. The worst is that they are cheaply made, overpriced, have generally bad sound quality, and that you are paying for advertising, not quality product.

But yeah, head to headfi and see what they have to say for you.

Image S4 have just been released. If anyone has personal hands on expirience with this one let me know... expensive but seems to be quite good for its price.
