Hello,
I have a really nice laptop bag that I received for Christmas along with my 14 in. Thinkpad T60. Unfortunately, I would like to be able to take my laptop to class occasionally, but there is not enough space for my other things in the laptop bag.
What I'd like to be able to do is put the laptop inside my backpack and carry it. I'm afraid that it may get scratched and dirty with other things floating around in there (spiral notebooks, etc). Is there a small sleeve or other sort of protection that would keep my laptop from getting dirt/dust in it, and also protect it from other books banging into it? I walk to class so I'd like to have something that will protect it from jostling around in my backpack.
Thanks!

Yea I think you're looking for a laptop sleeve.
I just ordered a sleeve myself for my M1210, and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Look around for some laptop sleeves that fit your laptop. -
Yeah definitely go with a laptop sleeve. I'm still looking for one that can fit my incoming 17 inch laptop. I'll be using it so no scratches and dirt get in the way.

if there is an office max near you go look and see what they have. My dad and I just bought a swiss backpack and I really like it. The only problem is that it can fit my American Lit book like 2" think, and 2 binders equaling up to 2 and a half inches, and a pack of paper, and that is what fits in the main compartment. In the laptop area I am able to fit my laptop, the charger, a Big Java book that is like 2". So it is a fair size backpack, but I don't think it will be able to fit my chem book. Granted there is still a little bit of space in the laptop area if I leave my book in one the class. It is around 60 dollars so, it is not the cheapest backpack around. That is my opinion, and if you want to get the backpack it is nicely made and was at the local office max

Which one did you get? -
The smallest one would be for the M1210 of course.
Unfortunately the sleeve has outlasted the Philips laptop
After 10 days the Philips broke down terminally and a refund was issued. Luckily I've seen the error of my ways and have a Dell XPS M1210 being delivered Monday and as dimensions are the same as the Philips should fit the sleeve.
As to the sleeve then it affords quite (very?) good protection for the laptop inside another bag such as rucksack or whatever. Mine is to go in front pocket of Lowepro Camera backpack. Has a small 'mat' that can be sat on keyboard to minimise the risk of keys rubbing display. Not sure if they ever could though do know it happend to my mobile phone. Sorry the link is too a UK outfit but probably by similar in your area? -
Laptop Protection? Sleeve?
