Laptop bag - Waterproof

Hi guys,

I know there is plenty of threads here on Laptop bags, but after looking through them, cant find the answer to my question. Does anyone know of a good WATERPROOF laptop bag capable of carrying a m15x laptop (15.4"), that will keep it dry in rain and protect it from shocks, bumps, etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use it for the notebook in my sig which is also 15.4 inches and it fits perfectly. The neoprene does a good job of cushioning and it is also weather resistant. if your looking for a messenger bag type of laptop bag, check out the other selections from Case Logic

 

Cheers Icecubez. Went out today to a few shops that sell bags (couldnt really see much on the net) and found a Targus Voyager Notebook Case that was waterproof on the inside, and has a pull-out waterproof cover that comes out the bottom to cover the front face of the backpack, and still allows you to sling it over your shoulder. Had a look for some waterproof sleeves aswell, but couldnt find any. Ended up going with a Belkin one, looks really good.

 

My experience with hiking/backpacking tells me that for prolonged periods of rain you are better off using a pack cover or finding something just to slip in the items you don't want to get wet. Several companies make bags with built in pack covers. You can also goto your local backpacking/outdoor supply store and pick up a pack cover separately.

 

There's really a lot of different variations on "waterproof" - a little rain isn't the same as prolonged tropical downpours or full immersion (say paddling trips). For general water-resistant use (bit of rain) the Pinder bag seemed reasonable to me http://www.pinderbags.com/laptopbags.html. For real waterproofing you can go to a Pelican case or some of these cases http://www.computerbags.com/waterproof.html or put a regular case inside a waterproof backpack or gear bag.
