    Hi there,

For a long time I've been looking for a suitable laptop cooler for my 17.3 inch HP Pavilion DV7 2140ed.
It's been having some overheating problems for quite a while now, so I cleaned it a few days ago.
But the temperature isn't dropping below 70 degrees celsius.

So I began to look for a cooler again. But I want a cooler that is usable for in lap use and fits my laptop perfectly!
And so far I only found some coolers that are a little too small or not easy to use on the couch or in bed!

My laptop is 41.26 cm/16.24 inch in width and 27.7 cm/10.90 inch in lenght!

I hope someone can help me with this problem :)
P.S. Wanna spend up to €50,- for a cooler!

Sorry, OP but there's no such animal. You chose the wrong laptop it that was you intention. Whatever you do will be a compromise since a 17* desktop replacement is jut too big to ever be comfortable. That is, unless you're the Jolly Green Giant.reviews on amazon i bought it.
It is a great cooler, I have one. And there's no need to spend more money. But it is hard metal, and that's exactly what it feels like.

Whatever I have done, I could not stop my laptop's overheating. It would shut down although there was a cooler underneath. So I upgraded my cooler and cut the metal part of it to absorbe the heat. And I bought 5 fans more. Now there are 6 fans under my laptop. It is not problematic right now.
