Hey everyone. I've got a problem that I'm sure many of you have.I have a dell Inspiron 8600 and it really gets HOT after i use it fo lets say 1/2 hour onwards. I like to use my laptop on my bed also. I'm looking for a laptop "lap-desk" so i can put it on top of my bed and use my laptop. I'd put my laptop on my bed alone, but i know that it would block the fans and that would be a serious mistake. Another thing... I have only 2 usb ports and I know they have laptop desks and coolers with extra usb ports. I'm looking for two things. one for my desk that has extra usb ports, and one that I can take everywhere with me so the heat won't build up soo fast. There's one laptop desk that i've seen. its here on this website http://www.laptopdesk.net/
I heard its really good. I'm wondering if any of you guys have used it. There's another one that has usb ports but can only be put in one place and is a stationary laptop cooler. It's on this website: http://www.buyextras.com/valacowi4pou.html
One last thing; my laptop is fairly big 15.4 inches. Will it fit on these devices? I hope that anyone with any information or has any prior product information can pleasee PLEASEEEE help me out. And I hope I've helped anyone out that is in a similar search as mine for some products. If anyone has any other products in mind. Please tell me. Thanks guys.

P.S. If anyone has a laptop that gets hot during use... it would be a very good idea to get a laptop cooler/desk that would better circulate the air in the laptop. It prolongs the battery life and the whole laptop life in general. I know there are other methods for keeping laptop temps down such as cooling modifications. Doing cooling mods however, are too experianced for my blood.

Hey thanks a lot. Those threads really helped me out. However has anyone used the lapdesks that I've mentioned? I'm looking at those two particularly. The first one has a whole website dedicated to the one product (laptopdesk.net). I've read lots and I mean lots of reviews on the http://www.laptopdesk.net/ laptop desk. I heard its really great. Maybe you guys should check that one out. And is there any other way i can get more usb ports for my laptop??? I figured the Vantec Laptop Cooler with 4 Port USB 2.0 Hub would kill two birds with one stone on top of my desk. Cooling my laptop and also giving me 4 usb ports to plug my junk in. If anyone owns these products or has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
