I bought myself this laptop sleeve on E-Bay UK. (The picture does not show that well, but when I received it I was impressed). I bought one for my friend as well. Excellent price for such a good quality sleeve. My friend's A6KM Asus laptop fits perfectly. I must admit my G1 fits tightly, but it does fit. The zip doesn't scratch the laptop on the inside, although it sits tight.

I very highly recommend this sleeve, especially for the good price on it. You won't be dissapointed.

if you are using a regular backpack, you might want to consider something that is rigid or semi-rigid to have extra protection. perhaps some sleeves from booqbags.com (they're haviing a sale right now...) or the tom bihn brain cell are worth a look.

you should look at size 2s. has depth of 1.7"

this should be enough considering that most laptop backpacks only have a centimeter's worth of foam padding. at least this will be rigid to give extra protection from drops and bumps.

    Definitely eBags.com

They have a HUGE selection at great prices.

If you want cheaper then check out eBay. Although eBags more then likely will have everything you need.

You should post your LOCATION, if you are asking people to recommend retailers to you. What is relevant to a guy in Ohio, Oslo or Ontario will be very different.

In any case, google or froogle "Shoreline laptop sleeve" in whatever country you are. They make very good 12" and other size neoprene padded laptops sleeves. The sleeves open on two sides and fasten with velcro strips, so they are very adjustable to whatever laptop. And the neoprene is very light, yet offers some protection.

I bought on for a 13" laptop abotu 2-3 years ago and since then I have been able to use it on both 12" and 14" laptops, so that saves you money in the long run instead of buying a new sleeve each time.
