I've today ordered my first laptop and am hoping to link it to my LCD TV. Please can somebody with a bit more knowledge than me tell me what the best cable for the job is.

    My tv is

and the laptop I bought is a Dell Inspiron 1520.

Hope somebody can help, I could wait to get the laptop but I'm desperate to have the cable before it arrives so I can set the whole thing up.

I would also appreciate any recommendations as to what to look for in a good wireless keyboard and mouse. I'm intending using the laptop as more of a desktop PC for my sittingroom (if that makes sense).

    Thanks in advance.

    The links aren't working...

But you would probably need a S-video cable :)

If your tv has a vga port, then it's better to use it instead of the s-video. Unfortunately, the inspiron 1520 has no dvi port(much better suited for a big lcd tv)
