Can I buy a battery for the Gateway 7805u that is larger than a 9-cell. I want more battery life!!!

    Thanks!

Seems like 1 of these 2 would work, its from a site linked from gateways accessory system:

    P-78 Series
    http://www.batterytech.com/index.as...e=GATEWAY&ModelGroup=P-7800&Model=P-78+SERIES

    P-7811
    http://www.batterytech.com/index.as...ure=GATEWAY&ModelGroup=P-7800&Model=P-7811+FX

(Didnt post the Japanese one as i figured not that one for sure)

I just posted the latter as I'm not sure if their sizes and connections work the same or actually different for the different kinds of P-78's, anyone know?

Also, the standard battery sticks out enough as is, would this other be even more massive @_@

Those batteries say 9 cell? Do they have a longer charge life?

    Thanks for the links though!

Too new of a model to have 3rd party battery replacement with longer charge life. Still, this model is not really made for to run on battery alone ;-)

    cheers ...
