I need to buy a keyboard and a mouse, and I have to feel them before making a purchase. DOes anyone know a good large store in Toronto with a relatively large selection of electronic products, specifically computer hardware and accesssories like keyboards and mice?

there use to be a store in mississauge called Computer City. I bought my first desktop there in 1996, cost me alot. I remember them being the biggest store but it closed down a few years ago. I think its some mattress shop now.

Id say Futureshop. Futureshops in toronto are a lot better than where I live, in London Ontario.

You won't be able to feel much at canada computers. Not much of their products are on display.

Try Best Buy, Future Shop, and/or Tiger Direct.

Hard to say, the Dundas/Bay Best Buy opened a few months ago and is pretty big. The nearby Futureshop on Yonge/Dundas is pretty small though, compared to the BB.

There are TONS of small computer shops on College/Spadina, and west of it, including a fairly large Canada Computers on College.

any future shop or best buy is pretty big. The smallest one is probably the future shop on yonge and finch-sheppherd (North york cente), and that is still pretty big.

The bigger ones off the top of my head include Best buy at scarborough town center and futureshop on hwy7 and warden.

mice and keyboards are pretty well the only computer products that i feel need to be touched, felt, handled and quite literally 'tried on' like a pair of jeans.
Some people have big hands and some have small. Without being able to hold the mouse in youre hand it can make you regret your new purchase forever.

Avoid the small retailers like CanadaComputers, TigerDirect or any of those small retailers on College or anywhere else.
You need a big box retailer that displays a big variety of products and will allow you to open the box without them freaking out.
Youre choices have already been mentioned, BestBuy, FutureShop as well as CompuSmart.

Pay attention to CompuSmart. Theyre in trouble and their days are numbered and may be another victim like ComputerCity.
Theres a number of stores closing and closing fast. Perrinerials like keyboards and mice will be reduced greatly
Im gonna be shopping for a Logitech diNovo Edge myself

Thanks for the heads-up! FS and BB it is.
But for RAM, Ill be going to Canada Computers and TIgerDirect. FS and BB prices are way too high.

To look, perhaps, but if you are a penny pincher, you can buy a keyboard for much much less if its OEM and at a small computer shop.

Oh, don't forget to add Staples as well, they often have a large selection.
