Hi, newbie to this forum. Had to have my Dell Latitude 830 rebuilt, I use XP Professional and a docking station. My Logitech cordless wheel mouse and cordless keyboard control unit is plugged into the PS2 sockets on the docking station.

Before the rebuild, the mouse worked perfectly, particularly wheel scroll. Now, I cant get the wheel scroll to work. Both Mouse in ControlPanel and Device Manager only show a Dell Touchpad on the system. I have tried d/l Logitech drivers and Mouseware but a dialog says that it has detected a touchpad and will therefore only make alterations to the usb port - but my 'stuff' is on the PS2, so nothing gets installed. I cant remove the touch pad or disable it as it keeps coming back on reboot. It shows as a Dell Touchpad with Alps drivers.

Cant find anything that will allow the PS2 based mouse to be configured correctly. Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

I have solved the problem myself. Bought a £3.00 2 x ps2 to usb cable and installed the mouse and keybpoard controller via USB. Windows picked it up and all is fine.
