I'm finding it difficult to find a good gaming mouse for left handed people.

If anyone knows of any, can you please post the link.

    Thanks!

A gaming mouse is a mouse with an excessive quantity of buttons and a High DPI that you will wish to immediately turn down. Most of them use sensors put into other mice and only the wireless ones tend to have any advantage over normal run of the mill (wireless that is).

Anyways a quick search turned up a wired Razer DeathAdder thats left handed might be of interest to you.

Amazon.com: Razer DeathAdder - Gaming Mouse Left Hand Edition: Electronics

I cant say I have ever been impressed looking at one, but many people like them and the price is reasonable since you need something left handed. Has all the mandatory features of a gaming mouse as well as the one feature that seems to actually count, a decent polling rate.

    thanks for the fast response!!

It's not a bad looking mouse. I'm just wondering how the drivers will work on my new laptop which I hope will arrive soon :D. I've been reading people are having issues with Razer's drivers.

I'll vouch for the DeathAdder. I have the right-hand version, and it's one of my favorite mice of all time.

Rain is exaggerating a bit. Gaming mice do have higher DPI and often more buttons than traditional non-gaming mice, but their main advantage lies in response time. "Average" mice submit data via USB 125 times per second (125Hz), which yields a response time of 8ms. Gaming-grade mice pretty much all have 1,000Hz polling, and 1ms response.

As for DPI, you can adjust it however you like. The DeathAdder's 3,500 DPI is certainly not as high as they get. And you can always adjust your system's mouse sensitivity to compensate for higher DPI.

Also, the DeathAdder has 5 buttons: standard left+right clicks, a scroll wheel, and two thumb buttons. That's a pretty standard button layout even for non-gaming mice these days, not an "excessive quantity". :p

As for Razer's driver software, I've never had any trouble. This is including my old 1,800 DPI DeathAdder, my newer 3,500 DPI DeathAdder, my Orochi and Mamba.

Theres very few dedicated 'left handed' mice around (Razor Deathadder 'Leftie' being one of the exceptions). You could also look at trying to get an ambidextrous mouse (as there are more of them available).

I have the Razor Orochi, which apart from its small size (but yes, I did buy it for its portable nature), Im getting on absolutly fine with. Dont have too much 'driver' issues with it, but I have the left handed 'side' buttons set to adjust DPI on the fly, and the damn software is very poor at actually displaying on screen that it has been adjusted (so I end up just guessing what setting I am at), but other than that, its been a fantastic mouse. I did look at getting the left handed Death Adder, and if I didnt game on the go would have got one.

I did email Razor a month or two ago, asking if they had any more plans on releasing more left handed mice, but just got a generic response back from them.

I went ahead and purchased the Deathadder from Amazon. I just hope the drivers will work with Win 7 64 bit version.

I started my life with computers using mouse in my right hand, altough I'm generally a leftie. I can't write with my right hand and I can't use mouse accurately with left but I can swing badminton racket with both hands.

I've never liked those big gaming mice that require palm grip to operate. It's a matter of taste and limits available options quite a lot.

I have two Logitech G3 mice. Unfortunately they don't seem to make gaming mice in this small form factor anymore. That's also ambidexterous but discontinued model so I've been looking for the next best thing for some time now.

Razer Orochi is interesting and I'm trying to find one locally for hands-on testing. Razer Lachesis seems also interesting and something I'd like to get my hands on also. On paper, Lachesis is almost 1" longer than G3.

I did test some ambidexterous Razer model (could actually have been Lachesis, can't remember) at a shop but it was too long, my fingers didn't properly reach the buttons when I had otherwise comfortable finger grip. It was probably designed for ET. :D

I'm glad to see that they made a driver for Win 7 64! So lets hope my DeathAdder works flawlessly on the 8170-S1 laptop.

Razer DeathAdder is a good choice.

I rag on Razer a lot, but they make the best ambidextrous gaming mice. If you care about left-handed gaming mice, then there really isn't a better choice than Razer.
