Recently I've been looking for a nicely designed and not too big Bluetooth mouse for my notebook.
Criteria:
- Bluetooth without dongle
- Black color (preferably matt black)
- Nice and subtle design
- 3-button with scroll wheel (Does not have to be packed with features)
Today I then went to the local IT shopping mall (yes there are many shopping malls here in Asia, dedicated only to IT hardware and software) to look for some nice mice.
I stumbled across this one: http://global.level1.com/products2.php?Id=741
This is the first time I've seen a mouse from LevelOne and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. I only know their network products which I find to be of good quality.
The mouse has a compact size without being tiny and design wise it looks really sleek and stylish (taste is personal of course).
I think this one is quite a lot nicer and simpler looking than any BT mouse Logitech or Microsoft can offer. Hence, I think this is a good alternative.
The other BT mouse I like the design of is the Sony VGP-BMS33/B: http://geizhals.at/img/pix/238214.jpg
Unfortunately it is too big for my liking.

I say stick with the main names for mice. I've never had a non MS or Logitech mouse that I really liked.
