    Question as title. The Samsungs I have at the moment come in at 350g - that's over some batteries. I'm wondering if there are any units which can e.g. halve this.

    I know the Verbatim store n go is pretty light..or the Maxtor OneTouch III

    A 9.5mm pata ODD like a UJ-852s or sata optical drive weights 180grams. The ebay sata or pata enclosures to put them in surely cannot weigh more than 100grams. Total would be 280grams. Add a USB cable and you're getting over 300grams.
