I just got a Logitech Audio Hub 2.1 USB speaker as shown below.

I am wondering if anyone who own this speaker (which sounds pretty good!) had the same experience as me.

When I connect to my laptop, which is ALREADY ON, the speaker power up just fine.

However, when I leave it connected and turn on the computer (either from full shutdown or hibernate), it fails to power up. I have to disconnect the USB cable and reconnect before it power up again.

I have hooked the power supply to the speaker.

I have exchanged the speaker twice from the store and tested it with 4 different laptops.

Do you guys know if USB based speaker have specific settings, like poewr usage that I need to change for this?

NOTE: Costco is selling this for $29.49. Other online retailer selling it at $89-99.

Great speaker choice, lanwarrior. I purchased these speakers also (at $30 too!), but I don't have this problem. My computer is an hp dv9700t running vista 64bit. I checked "sound" in the control panel, and my computer has "speakers, audiohub speaker" selected as the default. I'm also using the program, realtek audio with my computer. I hope this helps.

    oh... this system looks interesting...
I wonder, how does it play and how portable is it???

does it also have an aux port, so that you can connect it to an mp3 player?

    how's the bass???

for like $30 it is pretty good I think...

oh and how loud is it?

Sorry I don't have any help to offer on the issue, just a few questions regarding the speakers...
How's the sound quality and the bass? I didn't imagine USB powered speakers could offer great performance.

Same question here, and also, I wonder how much power does it drains from the battery when traveling.
