I've all but given up on the v400 and I think I am gonna buy a keyboard/mouse combination instead. I was wondering if the Logitech DiNovo series is worth the premium over other mouse combinations. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks, Rob

I have two of them, and they're great.

I use one with my PC, and the other with my notebook.
The keys are great, and typing on the keyboard is really easy.
One bad thing about the set, (well not the set itself but the software) is that the MediaPad has no public SDK, which means we can't write our own apps easily for it.

Other then that, it's a great keyboard, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Do you find you use the media pad a lot. I fear that it might end up being an assessory that i never use.

I mostly use it as a clock and a calculator which is really handy.

You have the bluetotoh version of the dinovo set? If so how is the connectivity and is it the version with the mx900 or mx1000 mouse.

Yeah, I own the Bluetooth sets, both of my sets have the MX-900 mouse, it's pretty good. I also own the RF version of the MX-1000, I can honestly say that the MX-1000 is atleast 1000 times better then the MX-900 when percision becomes a major factor, but for desktop work the MX-900 is just fine.

As for the connectivity - I haven't had any problems with it, I can have the keyboard in another room and type, and get no signal loss.

So the mx1000 mouse is that much better? I have a mx700 mouse now and like its overall design - how do you find the ergonomics of the mx1000 compare?

Well, a friend of mine hates the MX-1000 - he says that his hand can't get used to the curves. For me however, both mice are good. Also, you'll probably find that the MX-900 mouse is a bit less responsive then the MX-700 (but that's only noticable in FPS's).

Personally, I like the MX-900 better then the MX-1000 when I'm doing anything but gaming, but that's just personal preference.

I don't use their software at all with my notebook, however I do use it on my PC.
