I bought the Logitech G35 headset on BestBuy for $65 today. I was going to buy a speaker system to listen to my music but saw the G35 for the same price and had to buy it because it's normally $120+. I have no doubt this headset will perform well with games, but how does it perform when listening to music? I mostly want to know how good the bass is in it. I also heard it's best to switch off the surround sound when listening to music?

There is adjustable settings for bass and treble, i turn them both up to the max, im no audiophile but it sounds quite incredible to me. Gives the impression that you are in a live concert.

If you turn surround off (and don't go crazy with the bass/treble), the G35 actually does a very creditable job of music. Defo on a par with decent $70-and-over closed phones.
