    Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

Will retail for $99.99 USD. Release date TBD.

    New Logitech G15 Keyboard

"Improving upon the popular and award-winning Logitech® G15 Keyboard was no small task. But Logitech has done so by making it… smaller. The streamlined new G15 Keyboard now has a narrower design, making it easier to pack up and take into hostile territory, whether at LAN parties or a friend’s house. Meanwhile, the new magma-orange backlighting will set your G15 keyboard apart from the competition.

The new design has many of the same winning features as the original — such as programmable macros and an integrated LCD showing real-time game stats for the more than 30 games that support it — giving you the same tactical advantage as the original."

Good find! But, is it just me or does the G9 just look "odd?" The design just seems completely unpractical. The only thing I like about it is the wheel and the large teflon feet. The interchangeable sides and weights are always interesting too.

The G15 looks neat, like its predecessors. I much prefer the orange glow to the blue glow on my G11 :p

The G9, they probably followed the design, ergonomics and aesthetics of the Revolution series.

One word to describe the G9 would be ewwwwwwwwwwwww

That is just ugly! Looks like two mice stuck together or something....

The G15 doesnt seem to have changed but I never looked at the original one that closely.

    But once again.....ewwwww!

The G15 keyboard looks awesome. I echo SideSwipe's sentiment on the G9 mouse. Its design could have been better.

I just don't get why they redesigned the G15 the way they did, it looks really nice, but they took away 2/3 of the G keys, and why would they use orange backlighting, I think the blue looks so much cooler (plus the blue matches the LEDs on my laptop.

As for the G9 I think it looks like a tank.

I think my hand is gonna be too big for the G9.

At least the G15 keyboard looks promising.

i think the only difference in the G9 is that its got a higher resolution laser. 3200DPI vs 2000. but i dont see how the G15 is different. it looks different, but i still dont see any difference besides that. someone help me out here?

It looks like the new G15's main differences are the orange backlight, smaller size, and not as many G keys. But hopefully there's some additional, hidden in the box functionality for the LCD panel.

The G9 is an odd bird--I wonder what how the 2 different customized grips will turn out.

From what I have read the differences between the old and new G15's is:
New one has orange backlight, USB 2.0 ports (old had 1.1), new LCD (orange on black), less G keys, and the gamepanel should have better game support (hopefully its a software update and old G15's will get it too).

I got my G15 under a month ago, but I like the older version better so its all good.

LOL, I just picked up a G5 and a G15 not too long ago, but it doesn't bother me because I got great deals on both.

I like the looks of the new G15, to be honest, I'd take less G-keys and USB 2.0 over the current model, but no biggie really.

Also, as others have said.......the G9 is......well........interesting......I'll have to take a look at it when it hits stores and see how it feels out of curiosity.

The only reason i would get the new g15 is that its smaller than my current one. the blue looks so much cooler than the orange, and i like the old flip down screen

I'm glad I got my G15, I need all these G keys, cutting it down to 6 wouldn't work for me.

I've always thought the old G15 was a tad too wide due to the G keys which I never used. I really do like the slimmed down G15 and the non flip LCD. I would consider it if it wasn't wired, which is something I won't go back to anymore after using the DiNovo Edge.

and the G9? they need to demote whoever designed that.

When I saw the spy photos of G9 I didn't believe Logitech would produce such ugliness, thought it was a Chinese knock off, I was wrong :(

MX310 is still the best mouse they've ever made, I they'd make a remake of it in G form :/

    i wouldn't worry about it. redesigned hardware isn't usually a big deal. i wouldn't want a g9, even if i had just bought a g5.

i wouldn't exactly call it 65 down the drain as the original is a very good keyboard.
