I was searching for a video about it to check it out as it was just introduced, then I came across onto this thread with this your video. In the mean time It seems that we already have some reviews although the mouse won't be availability for some time as it's on pre-order for now.
Overall it seems like a good product, but I can't get over its price and battery life. :/Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Yeah I'm not buying a $150 USD Mouse. I'll wait for it to go down in price. -
I don't have any trouble with Logitech latency, it's the tracking on different surfaces that is pretty crappy, even the darkfield sensors which are supposed to be good for any surface are worse than older
infrared sensor models like the MX518 or deathadder, my current G602 can be just sitting there and the cursors jumping around all over the place, the older G7 also had crap tracking, it's pretty annoying as their mice seem to fit my hand the best ergonomically -

The G602 which I have is one of the best mice that I've owned. Great battery life when on endurance mode and I never had any issues or stuttering with it. I must mention though that my mousepad is a Razer Manticor so maybe that's why. -
Wireless gaming mice haven't had latency is a LONG time. Poorly-implemented 2.4Ghz wireless radios can be affected by interference, which would be a much bigger concern that latency. But in general, Logitech's 2.4Ghz implementations are pretty good at rejecting interference.
The two more important factors of a wireless mouse are sensor quality, and battery life. Those two areas are where you really start seeing the difference between top-end and bottom-end wireless mice. -

I agree. Never had any lag with my G602 and the battery life is phenomenal. I almost forget that it needs a battery in endurance mode. -
Except the razer/steelseries offering performs like poop compared to G900's performance when a lot of interference is added

Speaking of SteelSeries, I had a very bad experience with my recently purchased SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming mouse, every reboot, it's as if the mouse wasn't connected, I have to remove the USB and reinsert it for it to be redetected. I tried the latest drivers, even did a firmware upgrade, no luck. Then I contacted their support and what they said is I have to disable Windows USB Power Savings which I did, but that didn't help as well and I certainly don't want to use my computer like that. It has left a sour taste in my mouth I don't feel like ever buying anything from SteelSeries again. My Logitech G602 has never disconnected or given me such issues. -
The ss drivers have infinite loading with my rival 300, with or without the mouse connected.
Can't really care less about the mouse anyways, dpi is already set to 400 and I'm only using it as a daily beater.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
Zowie FK1/FK2 for life

Lol. Razer was the brand I had in mind when I mentioned "bottom-end mice."
Sells mice through flashy gamer bling. The underlying product is actually pretty mediocre.

sadly its price is not even close to g502 or g602

The mouse arrived from the flight after 24 hours of being shipped, this is the best wireless mouse I've held in my hands. It's a high quality piece of hardware, the weight seems just right, it fits in my hand better than the G602, works for both left and right handed users thanks to the swappable buttons.
The lighting effects are cool, it has the surface tuning function just like the G502 which the G602 didn't have. The smooth scroll wheel is super precise and best of all, there is 0 lag or stutter whether you are in wired or wireless mode!
Also, the back/forward buttons on the side of the mouse are easier to access than they were with the G502 and G602, almost feels like an enlarged Anywhere MX mouse which had the best size and back/forward buttons
worth every penny really.
-
Nice! Looks great! And from the reviews seems like it performs just as well as the 502 .
Personally im not really into Wireless mice since they dont work for me when playing fast CSGO. Love the ambidextrous nature of the Zowie FK2 for that
I might actually give this one a shot though if a nearby best buy has one.Papusan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
Is the back/ forward buttons closer the back of the mouse? Because I want the buttons closer the back of the mouse. I haven't very long tumb so I hope it's easier to reach those buttons if they are closer the back part.

make no mistake, this is a wired AND wireless mouse that gives you the performance of a high end G502 even if you are on wireless. the best of both worlds.
It has a built in battery as well so you don't need to carry one and keep charging it, when you are low on battery ,just plug in the cable and continue to use it while it's charging -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
they're in the middle, what annoyed me about my G602 is they are a bit towards the top so with my small hands, I could never reach the FORWARD button comfortably, with this one, you can reach both easily.Papusan likes this. -
Oh no no that aint the problem, the main issue with wireless mice for me is that they tend to be heavier because of the battery and for a medium sensitivity player like me, that throws me off quite a bit.
Ill give this one a shot next month, since im looking to replace my mouse at my office workstation and this will work great.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

it isn't heavy nor light, it just feels perfect although the first time you use it, it's a bit hard to move but after a while, when the bottom 2 plastic thingies get used to the motion, it becomes very smooth.
Tried it with both my Razer Manticor mouse pad and the Razer Kabuto (while on the go) works super smooth, never owned a mouse this good to be honest. -
Yeah it's a problem for me if the forward button is problematic to reach. A lot of mouses have the forward button more in the front or high up. That the buttons is more in the middle or longer back is important functionality for my use of the mouse.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this.
-
I meant as when compared to the Deathadder / Zowie FK2 / Final Mouse , wireless mice are pretty heavy.
This one however seems to have brought the weight down by a lot.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

if you place your hand on the mouse normally, you will see that your thumb sits on the forward button by default, move your thumb a bit down and you easily access the back button, see:

I'm a huge fan of the G700 (have two of them) and I love the recharge feature. I hate buying and swapping batteries. I need to replace one of them because they are constantly falling off the arm of my recliner and my older one has a busted scroll wheel because of that. Looks like a fantastic mouse, but for $150 I will pass. I can buy two G700 for that price (I generally pay about $65 for them) and have money left over.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this.

Not touching any mouse that comes from SteelSeries personally.
I bought the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming mouse with my laptop, the problem with it, if you reboot, the mouse doesn't work until you unplug the USB connecter and replug it again. Tried every driver, updated firmware, contacted their support. No luck, all support had to suggest is disable USB sleep for devices that are not plugged in which has nothing to do with this problem anyway.
Even though when it works, it's great, but this left a sour taste in my mouth.Ashtrix likes this. -

i don't really trust logitech now. i am already using g502 and don't get me wrong. this mouse is a beast in terms of performance.
but in quality, for a flagship mouse, it's not that good. I have the mouse since december and it's falling apart.
the braiding ruined the rubber cable so bad that i had to cut the frayed areas until i be brave enough to remove the braiding from the whole cable.
the wheel is rattling and making creaking sound.
the mouse feet worn out, easily fixed though.
the only issue i can't handle is the wheel rattling and creak sound.
i am not even using the mouse a lot because i use my cheap a4tech for normal usage.
for a 60$ mouse i shouldn't get these issues. -

strange, had the Anywhere MX for 2 years, and now the G602 for 1 year, all were perfect during the period I used them, the G602 is still with me as a backup mouse. -
I thought Steelseries Engine 2.0 was bugged now that 3.0 is also, then It's sad the Rival, new Rival 700 both have phenomenal grip, and the old Sensei with that metal build was fantastic but the software being so bugged caused it's fate sealed.
Castor's main benefit is the grip and the Pixart sensor which is absolutely best, Optical beats Laser in mouse precision, no matter what Laser sensor you use IT has acceleration.
Second the pinky grip takes time to get accustomed but once it does the comfort factor is amazing the side buttons are also easy to use.
But the greatest disadvantage is the software, They say I can hold 5 profiles in mouse and you can adjust them by software but the kicker is the color customization doesn't stick at all. Like if you set the 2 zones different (Say red on scroll wheel, logo blue and blue with breathe effect or anything) upon applying and going to another profile the color option gets reset. DAFUQ.
And the DPI cycling like Avior 7000 has 2 buttons but this one has only 1 to cycle 3 DPI settings on the fly and this does stick with all other, TL;DR color option is bugged and tried RMA and the other also did same plus Massdrop had sent me the second one with weird right click, I had returned that new one and kept my old one. Avior 7000 is also good since it has the same sensor but the wheel and dpi buttons are far in front and the right side 2 buttons are horrible always touching fingers I tried that mouse despite OCnet user posted it and had to return, Roccat Kone Military also has the same sensor but the software sucks have a massive disadvantage ( Avior7000 vs Roccat KPM)
So I think the Pixart sensors are best for gaming given each and every mouse has some negatives like you can check them here ( Mouse Guide 2.0).
I think even with those disadvantages I'm satisfied with Mionix Castor and Oh yeah the Avior 7000 color customization works without a hiss.
On a side note during my bachelors days the Mx518 my friend had amazing performance and unique grip, Microsoft Sidewinder X5 which had phenomenal CS1.6 Drag AWPing and the Xai too, I tried that Microsoft Intellimouse 1.0 (read about this more in the above 2.0 guide). Pretty nostalgic
EDIT : Rubberized thumb grip one also need time but equally good once it fits, like a glove.Last edited: May 25, 2016Papusan likes this. -

yeah man it's so sad, it's a fantastic mouse, if only it worked. They keep releasing updated to the SteelSeries Engine 3 almost every week and I keep trying but no luck. Great hardware spoiled by buggy software, not a first, reminds me of Killer Suite recently which just got fixed.Ashtrix likes this. -
I really wouldn't trust any other mouse than Logitech nowadays, the software is just perfect. And while their mouse shape decision is a bit questionable, at least you have good sensor.

well, my luck is very bad when it comes to products, always getting faulty stuff. i just didn't think it would be that bad with the g502.

it happens bro, I wouldn't write off the brand just because of this as they do have some of the bewst and highest quality products when it comes to accessories. I wasn't lucky with the Razer Chroma Keyboard on my previous desktop, when I would type fast, the mouse cursor would move to some random place and cause me to get navigation errors if I was in the browser or whatnot, no driver update or Razer Engine update helped, and then that SteelSeries. To be honest with you, I feel that Quality Control across all companies has gone down the drain, Starting with ASUS who used to be known for the best motherboards back in the day, now they produce ok motherboards with garbage BIOS (ehm ehm, ASUS X-99 Deluxe anyone), and the list goes on......
I say, get the product from a local store or if online from a store where you can easily return it or have proper warranty if need be. -
honestly, Logitech has very good support and i know they would replace it without any hustle but shipping from middle east to US costs more than the mouse it self and i lost the mouse receipt.
Razer product's quality is so bad and won't even last a year. not worse than HP though. there is nothing worse than HP.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
Razer is B$ not new news, I had 2 DA's & my friend's dragon age edition along with another bud's Abyssus fail miserably with CS1.6 and DotA back in 2010-2012 & that stupid R.A.T 5 of mine which also fell for the left click so fast..
Hope Mionix doesn't disappoint me.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
Yeah back then the switches were god awful. The current DA i have, is about 1 year old now. And my friends DA (non chroma , is almost 2 and a half). And he has used it for CSGO almost daily. I use mine daily as well, but not as much CSGO as my friend, mostly DOTA2.Ashtrix likes this.

Is it really a keyboard problem if your mouse was jumping?

It was the cursor as if the keyboard wa randomly pressing the tab key -
+rep. Totally agree.
I've had dozens of mice from multiple vendors throughout my lifetime. Logitech has always been rock solid, for their gaming mice and their non-gaming productivity mice.
Every other mouse brand I've owned has failed. Razer, Steelseries, Microsoft.
I'm currently using a Mionix Naos 7000 for the past 6 months, and it's a fantastic mouse. Let's see if it holds up past 2+ years, where most of my other non-Logitech mice have failed.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
I had some terrible experience with the sensors on low end office mouses from Logitech. (I'm sure one of them was a M185. Don't remember what the others was.) The mouses would generate a strange waving pattern even when you slide it against a flat surface, making small adjustments a nightmare. The consistency in general was bad as well.
