So I just picked up a set of Logitech G930's for late night gaming because a 5.4 surround sound will wake up the neighbors lol. Anyway, after messing around with the EQ they are hands down the BEST wireless headset I have ever owned. Only question I have in which I can not find the answer to is how to set up the 7.1 for gaming (I never owned a virtual surround sound headset)...For instance in Left 4 Dead 2 there are sound options to use headphones or 2.1,4.1,5.1,7.1 systems. Am I supposed to set it for headphones in game and utilize the headset surround?...or do I set it for 7.1 in game and utilize the headset surround? If this confuses anybody I will gladly elaborate more. :D

Set it for 7.1. The Dolby Headphone in the headphone will then sort out the positioning.

So set the audio for 7.1 in game...and also use the surround?

How about games that only utilize headphones or 2.1/5.1?

If a game only supports Stereo (technically speaking there is no such thing as 2.1 from an audio setting perspective), turn the surround switch off.

If it's anything including or over 5.1, set it for that in-game and then turn on the surround switch on the headset.
