Hi all! I just got a Logitech G9X Mouse and love it so far!

I am running OS X and have noticed a change in how the mouse "feels" when going from Windows to OS X. Has anyone else noticed this difference? It feels slightly slower (not tracking speed). I did a little research and found out that OS X uses a different algorithm than Windows; Windows is supposedly 1:1 while OS X converts whatever the mouse picks up to a different value (using some equation). This is what causes the mouse to have a different "feel" in OS X.

Since the G9X has an internal memory, is it possible to set the settings in Windows as having an acceleration of 0, and then save these preferences while booting into OS X? I want to have the mouse "feel" like Windows on the OS X platform. I can't handle the automatically converted settings Apple has decided to implement.

    Thanks for your input!

Get Steermouse. You can't 'carry over' settings.

    :( oh bummer. ok, thanks!

I'll give SteerMouse a try. I heard you need to tweak it to get it just right. Do you use it yourself? If so, do you mind sharing your setup (preferences) to make it similar to how Windows feels?

Any settings/ preferences other people willing to share??

No I can't say I do. I use gaming mice on high-performance computers, not Macs - and I'm one of the apparent few pretty happy using LCC with my MX1000 / Revolutions on my Pro's.
