hey everyone. I bought the logitech m305 wireless mouse online and received it today.

I opened the mouse and put the battery in. Then it shows detecting the mouse on my computer. However, the mouse doesn't work. I do have it on power on. Does anyone know what is my problem here? Note, i don't see any light that it is power on though. Is it suppose to have a light on to indicate it is powered on?

Yes, a green light should be shown near the mouse buttons to indicate it is powered on and it is supposed to have a red sensor shining from the bottom of the mouse.

hey aylafan, do you know how long a battery would last in this mouse typically for? I do use the mouse a lot and maybe even 10 hours a day sometimes.
Would you say at least 2 months?

Also, would you say its better to sometimes used the wired mouse instead if you are going to use the desktop and save battery or is that not worth it?

The battery lasts around 2-3 weeks to a month for me. I play Counter-Strike: Source and Starcraft II almost everyday. It'll last longer if it is not under constant use.

You should buy a 24-pack of Energizer AA batteries for $10 from Sam's Club or get rechargeble batteries. The mouse only uses 1 AA battery after all.

Do you like the mouse so far? Is it an okay size or a little too small? It should be very responsive in games. I use mine with a Steel Series QcK mini Mouse Pad.

The thing is my neighbors mouse is very comfortable and its a logitech but logitech 450m or something like that so i didn't went to best buy to take a look at this mouse. I don't know why but this mouse does feel a bit smaller than my neighbors mouse. I like it yes :)

I also have rechargeable batteries so i guess i can use those instead of buying batteries everytime thanks houstoned.

Also, who is that in your avatar houstoned?? Is that some singer/artist?
