I purchased the logitech m305 mouse many years ago and loved it b/c its a wireless mouse. However the mouse was pretty small for me... its a laptop mouse. I used it for less than 1 year and bought the same mouse again. It looked really good as its greyish and design of it is nice. As usual after some time mouse had lot of problems with the clicking... mostly its the you can't left click on majority of the left side of the mouse... u have to click like near certain areas of the mouse... does that make sense?

Anyways i went and bought a logitech m505 mouse that i been using for a bit over 1 year or so. Main difference with this mouse is the size of it is much bigger and design looks great... its greyish. I think the m505 is the perfect size mouse of all mouse i ever used. However... it started having the same issue with the clicking. Many times i can't click on stuff unless i click on one area of the mouse towards the bottom of the mouse. And many double clicks.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless mouse similar to the logitech m505 in terms of the mouse size and appearance? This mouse i bought cost around 40-50 dollars.

Is there a way to fix this mouse? I have to say that i been using this mouse very aggressively and by that i mean i probably clicked on it more than 3x the average user so there has to be wear and tear.

Does anyone have opinion of the m310? Only cost under 20 dollars and i think its a full size mouse?

These days almost all mice use the same crappy switches which eventually wear out and lead to the issues you describe. It doesn't matter if they say they use some special version of the switch which is rated to a billion clicks or whatever, they are all the same and just as likely to wear out like that. If you can solder, the switch can be replaced easily. Another solution is to open up the switch and bend the spring, but it will eventually fail again.

Yup, this is the case with logitech mice using those cheap switches.

My workaround was to buy additional switches and solder them in (tried opening the switch and bending the spring, but failed miserably lol)

I have done that to a couple of M505. It works beautifully. Can even adjust how I want the click to feel. There is a guide somewhere on how its done.
