Does anyone know if the blue is matte and the silver is hard plastic?

Have the black one, it's top is matte.

Good mouse, apart from one irritating flaw, the pointer speed changes quite much according to what kind of surface is under the mouse.

Thanks...thats odd. There was a blue one, which is matte, which i know because i got it.

There was also a silver one that was on display that was glossy. But in the box it looked more matte.

I have the "silver" one and it is kind of glossy. I think it is a little tall for my hand, but seem my hand adapted.

not sure what you mean by hard plastic
