I'm trying to find a wireless keyboard/mouse that I don't have to use a dongle for. The MX 5500 is bluetooth 2.0; so, I was wondering if the dongle was necessary. I'll be using it with the Alienware m15x, which has bluetooth 2.0 built in.

Also, any other comments on the MX5500 are welcome.

If those are Bluetooth peripherals, and your laptop has Bluetooth.. then youre set!

Dongle-free is the way to be!

Yup, if your laptop has built-in Bluetooth, then no dongle is required.
