IMHO, it's not worth the price, and you'd be better off looking somewhere else.

It seems to me that the Air is mainly a multimedia type of device; as for laser mice in general, they need time to be perfected as the ones now seem to incite a lot of complaints

for gaming i dont see how it could come in handy, IMO, the only reason you would want that mouse is for the free air movement pointing thingy, if you want a nice gaming and app. mouse i have the VX Nano, which is really small, the transmitter is very tiny and it fits inside the mouse if you dont wanna leave it on the notebook, i use it for gaming on my notebook all the time and it works great. I also saw it on spacial at Frys for like 50 bucks, which is cheaper than what i bought it for and about half price than the MX Air.

What type of laser mouse are you talking about, the G5 and others are proven laser mice. The G5 is widely regarded as one of the best of all gaming mice, its a laser mouse too.

Oops, totally forgot about g5. Sorry

I was just thinking about the Microsoft Laser mice and a lot of the complaints that came up from laser mouse and how some surfaces couldn't be used.

Just about all gaming mice have pretty good tracking on all surfaces, this includes Microsoft's junction with Razer, Razer, and Logitech.

Just about all Razer and Logitech Lazer mice track well.

Not the Habu, which was optical, but the Microsoft laser mouse itself. It seems that sometimes a black cloth pad will mess the laser up. I'm not too sure on the specific issues, but maybe I have whiny friends

Oh, wait, my mistake, I forgot that the Sidewinder was MS only. I thought that the whole MS-Razer thing was still going on.

I can't wait until my G5 arrives, damn Newegg and their no shipping on weekends policy. My package is literally 30 miles or less away from my house and UPS might not deliver it until Tuesday because of the holiday.

Edit: Nevermind, I should get it tomorrow. UPS doesn't observe President's Day.

Yeah, I actually have problems with my Logitech one; it was the first model to be released by them. It won't run properly on my shiny desk :D so I have to use a mousepad.

I watched some other reviews on YouTube and it obviously needs some perfectioning.
