So I've been using the VX revolution for a few weeks now, and while I love the mouse, SetPoint is getting extremely frustrating.

Well first, it's a memory hog - for a mouse program, it's taking ~14MB at any moment, but ignoring that for now...

In particular, there's an annoying problem of certain keys getting stuck (usually the left Alt key) even though I never touch it. Most noticeably every once in a while when I hit the "Back" or "forward" button, sometimes windows thinks the Alt button is still being held.

Theres was a known problem for Setpoint when people bound hotkeys to buttons on the mouse, but I did not assign keystroke binding to any button on the mouse for any program. Now this almost sort of makes sense since the hotkey to move back and forward in firefox is "Alt_leftarrow" and "Alt-rightarrow"...but there's no way I know of to change the mouse behavior about that.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any known fix? I got silence at Logitech's forums.

I would just try uninstalling SetPoint. I don't use it any more for my keyboard, but XP still recognizes all the specific buttons for it.

5 of the buttons/features on my mouse no longer work without it though :(

Oh, you have a multibutton mouse...crap!

See if the problem persists with SetPoint out, and if it does it would be a hardware issue. If not, try downloading the latest SP (if there is one later available). Sometimes a reinstall will help too.
