Hey guys, I want to ask if this mouse is worth getting? It's a bluetooth mouse not cordless so it would be more convenient to connect to my laptop directly. Does anyone currently have it or are using it? Also, is there a difference in response lag between a bluetooth mouse and cordless mouse?
Finally, would it waste a lot of my notebook's batteries (Z96J 6 cell) since I have to enable bluetooth on my notebook for the mouse.
Any help/info would be appreciated!

I have this mouse. I haven't used it much because my laptop has been in the shop a lot, but I can say that it works okay. It's really light, and almost feels cheap in quality but seems to track well. One thing I don't like is that it powers down after a period of inactivity and then takes a second or so to snap out of it. Not sure how significant the power drain is as I usually have mine plugged in.

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and like it. I haven't used a wireless mouse before so I can't compare it to anything, but it gets the job done. I like being able to simply turn the mouse on and it works vs. plugging something into my laptop. Occasionally after the mouse has been sitting, there's a little lag when it starts up, but that's all the lag I've noticed.

Ok, gonna go get it now
Edit: Bah nvm, after careful thinking BT mouses would decrease my laptop's battery life -
I got it for $30 bones shipped at buy.com and I really like it because all the ports on the MacBook are on the left side and I'm right-handed. BTW...I would NEVER spend more than that on a mouse. I'm not a tight-azz, but it's just a mouse!
That, and I don't LIKE a big mouse. The V270 is sized between a "notebook mouse" and a "desktop mouse". Being Bluetooth there's no "dongle" or USB protruberence (sp?) to deal with.
Reduced battery life is of no concern to me and if you ever watch a DVD on battery power then that argument doesn't hold water. This laptop has a decent trackpad (and I hate trackpads) to use if I really wanted to conserve juice.
I say if you can get it cheap...get it and try it out.
I do use a corded Belkin that's almost the excact same size on my Windows notebook. That machine (Gateway) doesn't have Bluetooth built-in so, for me, it's better than having a USB adapter sticking out the back.
