I've heard numerous figures ranging from a couple of months to an entire year. Can someone please give an approximate number of hours a V270's two AA batteries will last if it's in constant use? Thanks much.

Are there any other Bluetooth mice that run on 2x AA batteries and do not have base stations?

I have the kensington bt mouse. 2 AA's and no base station. Pretty happy with it but a slight wake up lag. Nothing to bad but it is there. Kensington BT Pocketmouse.

All BT mice have lag and from what I've read about the 270... people are very unhappy about it. Go to Amazon.com and look it up and read reviews.

the only lag my V270 has is from the PC initializing BT. I like my V270, have had it for about 1.5 months, and have had not changed the battery yet. I've left it on over night 1 or 2 times, and when it's in use it's usually for a few hours at a time. I'd say on the whole it's been used on average of 5 - 15 hours per week since April 8.

been using my v270 for about 2 months. still using the orignal AA that it came with. been using it about 5 hours a day.

I've only had the lag wake up issue a few times after leaving it alone for a few hours and coming back. In normal use no probs, even if I've been just typing for awhile and going back to the mouse again no probs.

Just an FYI, the v270 will run on only one battery if you prefer, that is what I do. I have been running on only one battery for more than 3 month now.

Like others, i was worried about BT because of issues, but I really haven't had any problems. Yeah connect may take a couple seconds, but after that there are no problems. I had two batteries last over 2 months with fairly heavy use (6-8 hours/day, scattered throughout the day...)

So would any of you consider using it for games such as first person shooters?

I do regularly use it for counterstrike, which is pretty much the only fps I play. Unless you're a superhardcoreultranerd gamer, it should work just fine for you
