Logitech VX Nano Problems

I've had my Logitech VX Nano for roughly about 2.5 years and recently its been lagging quite a bit. When I move the mouse around the cursor doesn't seem be move as smoothly around the screen. Sometimes when I click on something it does not register the click until I click it multiple times. The weirdest thing is it doesn't always lag, sometimes its fine sometimes its awful.

Things I've tried:
- Reinstalling driver and setpoint (no luck)
- Tried a different mouse on my computer (seems to be fine)
- White surface (still lags)
- Tried 2 sets of new batteries (no luck)

Anyone got any idea whats wrong? Also is this mouse suppose to not work on a completely black surface?

 

have you tried replacing the battery?

how about reseating the radio receiver or using another usb slot.
i also a a nano vx which i had replaced after i dropped it and afaik the warranty is 3 years.
you may just wanna have it replaced

 

I bought this used so I doubt it still has the 3 year warranty sadly =\
How is the Logitech Anywhere MX compare to this mouse?

 

I had that problem a few months ago. It's the microswitch that has failed - don't worry coz what happened is natural - your mouse has gone beyond it's last decent click. Call up Logitech and ask if you can get a replacement (even if it's outside warranty) - they sent me a new one (how kind of them!)

As for me, I loved my VX Nano but moved on and bought the Anywhere MX FTW!
The Any MX is like VX Nano 2.0, imo ;p

 

I have two VX Nano mice - one was a warranty replacement. The first was randomly double clicking at times, other times not clicking at all. Logitech replaced it under warranty. The second one, middle click is messed up now, although with enough pressure it registers. Wheel works fine. It's probably a product of overuse and being carried around too much, but I don't feel like it's a durable mouse.

 

i actually have a spare nano which i dropped (and was replaced by logitech), it drains batteries a lil faster after the drop but is otherwise ok.

if it is still under warranty call Logitech, they will send you a Anywhere MX.

 

Sounds like you have two issues here.
- The lagging problem is mostly likely caused by a faulty receiver. E-mail Logitech and see if they'll send you a new one. If not, I believe that you can buy one fairly cheaply off of their main site.

- The clicking issue is a known problem with the VX nano, and is indeed due to the microswitch wearing out. If you're comfortable with a soldering iron; it's not a difficult repair to perform. The part that you need is somewhere around $1.50; substantially cheaper than the $30-$40 a new VX Nano will run you. If you're interested, I'll dig up the instructions on how to do it and the part needed.
