The Nano is awesome if you carry around your laptop to different places. its also awesome if you don't have Bluetooth. However, if you do carry it around a lot and you have Bluetooth, a Bluetooth mouse is better. Similarly, if you don't carry your laptop around, the revolution is better. Its larger, more comfortable, and has more buttons (if thats your thing).

Personally, I like the VX revolution. I owned the nano for about 2 weeks, but returned it as it was damn tiny. Don't get me wrong, for a mouse that small it was very comfortable. But, no matter what contoured shape it was, it was still frikkin' tiny. And something that small is not comfortable enough if your hands are a certain size or larger (I would say I have about average hand size).

I had both, felt around a little, and found that the Nano was comfortable enough as a tradeoff for the tiny receiver. My hands are an average size. It's really depends on what you want.

I too feel that the nano is a lil too tiny for my taste. I prefer the revo for its design, size and feature set. Only one thing would make it perfect and thats if it came with the mini dongle of the nano.

the feel of the Revolution is nice, but I really hate the way the hyper scroll wheel jiggles around inside it's housing. very annoying/disconcerting. the Nano does it also, but not to such an extent. both have the same optics engine, so they'll both respond the same in game play, so really, it comes down to which has the nicest feel and whether or not the Revolutions 'zoom' feature is critical to you or not.

While I don't have either I've tried them out in the store. To me, it feels like the Nano is better for a particular type of mouse grip where the Revolution felt more like the Mx500 I have. It's hard to describe, but it's like the Nano forced my fingers into a weird position. Kind of reminds me of playing the piano how you curl your fingers except that the wrist is flat with your fingers curled. It might have been extra uncomfortable because the geniuses at Circuit City thought most people used their mouse on a table with a 45 degree angle.

In any case, you should really be the one that decides which is more comfortable. You should go to a store and try them out. Don't rely on the opinions people give here as they could have vastly different preferences from your own.

Revolution is more comfortable, the Nano is more practical. I travel/ move my lappy around alot so the Nano works best for me.

BB has it on sale for $45 too. :)

I just bought the VX rev, I have medium hands and it fits perfect. As most others said, I found the Nano to be too small and it put my fingers in odd positions, too uncomfortable for extended use; it was annoying but I'm sure you would grow to it.

Agreed, life would be beautiful if Logitech paired the VX Rev with the Nano's receiver. Best advice is to go to BB or CC and try them for yourself, it will make your decision much easier.

The selling point for me was the Nano receiver.

    Nano Reveiver FTW.

If you like Dongles on your notebook, the VX Revolution is pretty hard to beat.

Even better if you can make a true wireless version of the MX518

Hmm, I prefer the VX Revolution. Its big enough to be a comfortable desktop mouse, and small enough to carry daily. The receiver, yea, its bigger than the Nano receiver, but its not that big compared to the ones on other notebook mice.

I actually switch it from laptop to desktop depending on which computer I'm using at the time.

QFT, even though I have BT the receiver is so small it rocks.
