I bought this mouse.... works great except one thing...
i use it for a while... but if i leave it for a bit it freezes in it's sleep mode.
Once i move the mouse around a bit... the buttons respond but not the mouse.
I didn't actually install the software that came with it. could this be the issue? or is there something else?
THe only way to get the mouse to respond after is to press the reset button.

Hey I don't know whats wrong with your mouse but logitech has really really good warranty services. They replaced my mx700 keyboard mouse combo for a brand new mx3000, which after a week is obsolete. Well anyway best of luck.

did you have to send in your old one?

I believe your mouse is faulty.
I have a terrible experience with this particular mouse (though I'd have to say some people do not mind it) and would advise you to change it to another mouse if possible...
Check out logitech's actual community forums to see more about the V400 issues.

Has anyone else had this issue of randomly shutting off?
When it works... it works great... just the random shut off is useless -
Sorry both my v400 and my new v450 never had your problem
