    Hey

i was trying to get my girlfriends logitech v470 bluetooth mouse working on her inspiron 1400 with built in bluetooth. i installed the setpoint software, connect the logitech v470 mouse and everything seemed fine. but after a few reboots it wont auto connect anymore. i go to my bluetooth devices and i see the mouse but it doesn't work. i have to remove it, then add it again to get the mouse to work. shouldn't this mouse auto connect as soon as i boot the pc? if anybody knows what to do i would appreciate it. i know with my dv2500 i have a Microsoft 8000 bluetooth mouse and i connected it once and whenever i boot my laptop the mouse auto connects.

I have a HP dv2000 and the Logitech v470 auto connects just fine. It's the HP bluetooth software that makes this possible.

You'd need to look for an auto-connect option on the Dell in the bluetooth config.

Yes. You'd need to look into the Advanced Bluetooth Configuration. The bluetooth icon is in the system tray (right hand corner).

The logitech software isn't needed either. I connected mine by just turning it on and searching for the device.

I've read reports that the Logitech software creates issues instead of fixing them. Keeping that in mind, I did not install the software and hoped that the mouse would work out of the box.

It sure did! I'm glad that Logitech created a great mouse without any dependencies. I've never had the need to install Logitech's mouse software.

On a side note, I've only had my mouse for 4 days and love it so far. It fits in the hand perfectly and is very responsive. I've been using it on the arm of my over-stuffed leather chair and it also works great on my thigh, haha. Haven't needed a mousepad at all.
